Two checks to make before anyone drives over

Find the on/off control
Lots of built-in Sub-Zero columns and side-by-sides handle the ice maker from the main control panel, through a key or icon marked for ice. Plenty of older units, and some freezer drawers, put the switch on the ice maker body instead, at the side or back of the freezer compartment. If your panel shows an indicator, confirm it reads on for the ice maker, not only for the refrigerator.

Check the shut-off arm or bin sensor
Older ice makers rest a wire arm on top of the ice; when that arm is lifted, production stops. A bag of frozen berries, a tray slid too far back or a frozen lump can raise it without anyone noticing. Newer designs sense the bin level electronically, and frost or clutter around the sensor can fool them. Lower the arm or clear the area, if your model has one.

Empty, rinse and reseat the bin
Slide the bin free, tip away stale or clumped cubes, wash it in warm water, dry it and seat it firmly back where it belongs. A bin resting slightly crooked can keep the machine convinced it is full, and old cubes fused together can jam the outlet.

Give it a fair chance to cycle
With the switch on and the bin cleared, the freezer still has to reach its normal setting before cubes can set and drop. Leave the door shut and look again the next morning. An empty bin by then means stop resetting and phone us: repeated resets only hide what the machine is trying to tell you.

Most stalls trace back to a short list: the ice maker got switched off, its arm or bin sensor reads the bin as full, the supply water is not arriving, or the freezer runs too warm for cubes to freeze through.
