How a visit is agreed

Terms of Service, Told Like a House Call

Putting a Sub-Zero visit on the calendar with Brentwood Refrigeration Services means both of us play by the short rulebook below. It runs in the same sequence a job unfolds beside your refrigeration, so at every turn you can see what is already settled and which decision is still yours.

From booking to a working unit, in five moves

Reserving a slot, whether by ringing (310) 878-0630 or through our scheduling window, counts as accepting these terms. Every job then travels the same route.

  1. A slot goes on the calendar

Crews head out 8 AM until 6 PM daily. Should the current day still show an empty slot, you can claim it; otherwise we name the next free opening. The line is answered 24/7, yet an after-hours conversation books the trip rather than sending a truck out at midnight.

  2. The technician pulls up

That $89 covers the drive over plus the inspection. Billing happens once for each stop, so a lone wine cabinet costs the same to examine as a refrigerator tower, a freezer tower and an icemaker sharing one kitchen.

  3. The cause gets pinned down

Parts are not swapped on a hunch. You see the evidence yourself: a tired door seal, an evaporator coated in ice, coils matted with lint, a fan that quit, a control board that failed.

  4. A number comes before the screwdriver

Before any repair begins you are quoted what that work costs, and it stays parked until you sign off.

  5. Your call

Agree, and the $89 gets absorbed into that repair bill. Decline, and the $89 closes out the visit with nothing more owed. Settling up happens once the job wraps.

When is payment due for a Sub-Zero repair with Brentwood Refrigeration Services?

After the job wraps. The $89 visit charge buys the diagnosis, the repair figure gets quoted and okayed before anything is fixed, and the bill is settled at completion. Approve the fix and that $89 comes off its cost instead of stacking on top.

Scope of these terms, and who is behind them

They govern every service trip arranged with Brentwood Refrigeration Services across our map: Brentwood, Pacific Palisades, Bel Air, Santa Monica, Westwood, Beverly Hills, West Los Angeles, Century City, Mandeville Canyon, Sullivan Canyon and Culver City. Our trade is cold storage in Sub-Zero households, which takes in built-in and panel-ready refrigeration, freezer columns, wine cabinets, under-counter drawers and ice machines, Other makes named on this site are taken on only where a booking for them is confirmed by phone beforehand.

Ours is an independent outfit: unconnected to Sub-Zero Group, Inc. or any other manufacturer, and neither endorsed nor sponsored by any of them. Trademarks mentioned here stay with whoever owns them; we name them purely so readers know which equipment we handle. If a factory plan still protects your unit, that arrangement lives between you and the maker, so look into it before inviting any outside technician.

Our responsibility stops at the repair we perform. That excludes damage already present when we walked in, groceries or bottles that spoiled while the unit was down, harm from electrical surges, floods and other acts of nature, and alterations someone else makes to the appliance later. Under all circumstances our total exposure tops out at whatever you paid for that particular repair.

Handling of the contact details you give while booking is described in our privacy notes.

Misreadings we hear about the fine print

  • Often heardEvery extra appliance means another $89.

How it really worksSingle stop, single $89. When the fridge side runs warm and the icemaker has quit dropping cubes too, both get examined during that one visit under that one charge.

  • Often heardOpening the door to a technician means the repair is underway.

How it really worksBeyond the diagnosis, nothing moves without a yes from you. First comes the figure, then your answer, and only after that any wrenching.

  • Often heardAn online booking is a promise to buy a repair.

How it really worksIt holds a visit on the calendar, nothing more. Fix or no fix, and for how much, gets decided beside the appliance once the culprit is known.

  • Often heardAnyone servicing Sub-Zero must be part of Sub-Zero.

How it really worksNot us. This rulebook is our own, and whatever the factory offers sits under the factory's rules.

Can I reschedule an appliance repair appointment with you?

Yes. Phone (310) 878-0630 as soon as plans shift; someone picks up 24/7 and slides the visit to a different opening. Speaking up early frees that slot for a neighbor whose fridge is warming and leaves you the widest pick of replacement times.

Prep that pays off on visit day

Optional, every bit of it, though each point trims minutes once someone is kneeling at the grille.

  • Keep the floor in front of the appliance empty, with its grille and toe kick reachable.
  • Jot down every Sub-Zero unit worth a look; one $89 visit covers the lot.
  • Recall roughly when trouble began and what tipped you off: a rattle, an odor, frost, a puddle, a display alert.
  • Track down the rating plate with model and serial numbers if possible; the owner's manual says where it hides on your model.
  • Line up an ice chest or a spare refrigerator in case food or wine needs somewhere to wait.
  • Mention while booking how a driver gets in: a gate code, a slim canyon lane, a service entrance, a parking spot.
  • Shut dogs or cats away while the appliance is pulled forward or opened.

Questions about the terms

Suppose I turn the repair down after the diagnosis. What then?
Then that $89 visit is everything you owe. You walk away knowing what failed, and should you decide on the fix down the road, a call to (310) 878-0630 puts it on the calendar.
Does looking at more than one Sub-Zero unit raise the trip charge?
No. The $89 buys the stop itself, never a per-appliance count. Fridge, wine column and under-counter drawer under one roof add up to a single visit. Our pricing notes cover what moves the repair figure itself.
If I ring in the middle of the night, does someone come right away?
Not overnight. The line is answered 24/7, while crews head out 8 AM until 6 PM daily. Calling late still gets you tips for keeping food and wine cold in the meantime, plus the earliest open slot.
Who fields questions about this rulebook?
Same line as for everything, (310) 878-0630. Our contact page gathers the number, the booking link and the hours.

Comfortable with these rules?

One $89 per visit, a figure quoted while tools stay packed, and you keep the deciding vote.

Trip charge $89, counted per driveway and never per unit; it is credited in full once you approve the repair.

What are the Brentwood Refrigeration Services terms of service, in short?

Reserving a visit means agreeing to a plain sequence: one $89 per trip, a diagnosis, a repair figure you accept or refuse, and settling up at completion. Those $89 come off an approved repair, our exposure is capped at that repair's price, and the shop is independent of Sub-Zero.
