Why does my undercounter refrigerator keep tripping the GFCI?
A GFCI trips when it senses current leaking where it should not, often through moisture. Water reaching a plug or connection, condensation inside the unit, or a component such as a fan, heater or compressor beginning to fail can all cause it. Outdoor and island installations are more exposed to moisture.

When and how it trips narrows things down. Note the pattern for a few days if it is safe to do so.

Who does what: electrician or refrigeration technician
Tripping sits at the border between the house wiring and the appliance. An electrician looks after the outlet, the breaker and the circuit. A refrigeration technician looks after what is inside the Sub-Zero: the compressor, fans, defrost components, controls and internal wiring.
A useful first test is whether other appliances on the same circuit misbehave. If they do, the circuit is the more likely problem. If only the Sub-Zero trips the protection, and especially if trips line up with the compressor starting or a defrost cycle, the appliance is the more likely source.

Is it safe to keep resetting a tripping refrigerator outlet?
Not as a long-term fix. Each trip means the protection detected a fault. Resetting once to save the food can be reasonable if there is no water, smell or scorching, but repeated trips need a diagnosis. Never bypass a GFCI or breaker to keep the unit running.
